Every Grainkin piece starts as real, solid wood and ends up as the quiet center of someone's bedroom. Here is how our furniture is made, what it is made of, and what we promise when it arrives at your door.
1. Real wood, chosen with care
Our bed frames, nightstands and dressers are built from solid hardwoods such as acacia and rubberwood, with engineered reinforcement only where it adds strength. Before any cutting begins, the lumber is kiln-dried to around 8–12% moisture content to help prevent warping, cracking and shrinking in your home.
Because it is real wood, no two pieces are identical. Variations in grain, knots and tone are part of the character of solid wood, not a defect.
2. How each piece is made
- Select – wood is sourced through our manufacturing partner's chain-of-custody certified suppliers.
- Dry – controlled kiln-drying stabilizes the wood.
- Shape & join – mortise-and-tenon style joinery and reinforced slats for a sturdy, quiet frame. Most of our bed frames are designed to support up to 800 lbs (see each product page for its rating).
- Finish – surfaces are carefully sanded and finished to bring out the natural grain, using low-VOC finishes where applicable.
- Pack – multi-layer cartons, high-density foam and corner protectors help every piece travel safely.
Our furniture is produced by an established manufacturing partner in Vietnam, then stocked in U.S. warehouses so it reaches you quickly.
3. Tested for your home
- Finishes on our beds, nightstands and dressers have been tested for lead content under U.S. CPSIA requirements (16 CFR Part 1303).
- Dressers are tested to ASTM F2057-23, the U.S. stability standard for clothing storage units. Always anchor dressers to the wall using the included or recommended hardware.

4. Delivered with care

- 1-year limited warranty – covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. Normal wear, natural wood variation, and damage from misuse or improper assembly are not covered.

Caring for solid wood
- Dust with a soft, dry cloth; wipe spills right away.
- Avoid harsh chemical cleaners and standing water.
- Keep furniture away from direct heat sources and long periods of strong sunlight.
- Use felt pads under lamps and decor to protect the finish.
